 · I bought this CD when it first came out and liked it a lot at the time. I'd been a fan of Franti and Spearhead and this fine album was another winner. Going back and listening to it again over a decade later I think it still retains its edge, vibrancy, and most important of all; the message/5(86).

Michael Franti was short time half of the hip hop group Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy. Then he founded a new band with the name Spearhead. His latest cd Stay Human appears under the name Michael Franti Spearhead, but he only gives & to what we already knew: he is the sole and undisputed leader of the band.

Stay Human is the third studio release by Michael Franti & Spearhead. Many of the tracks on this album are fictional radio segments focusing on the case of "Sister Fatima" who is executed later in the album for murder. At the album's end, new evidence reveals Sister Fatima was innocent, and Governor Shane, who authorized the execution, commits : Hip hop.
